Castello di Petrata Wedding

Gorgeous Castello di Petrata Wedding on the Umbrian hills
Surrounded by a 50-hectare private park and a breathtaking view of Assisi, Castello di Petrata is an elegant property nestled among olive groves and woods in the heart of Umbria.
Amanda and Ben’s spring wedding made me realize how perfect this location is for exclusive multi-day events.
A 14th-century castle offering guest accommodations and an on-site kitchen. A large lawn for the ceremony overlooking the valley. A reception space in front of the historic walls illuminated by decorative lights. The Limonaia room for the party.
At Castello di Petrata, the beauty of the natural panoramas blends perfectly with the area’s centuries-old history.
Amanda and Ben’s day reflected all of this.
A breathtaking sunset and dinner in the shadow of the castle.

Castello di Petrata wedding. A journey through the day.
As a wedding photographer in Umbria, I find that Castello di Petrata offers an incredible variety of spaces to make the entire day unforgettable.
Getting Ready
The day began in the castle suite, where the bride’s hair and makeup were expertly done by LBW Bridal Agency, and she then put on her dress with the help of her closest family.
The groom, assisted by his mother and father, got ready in the billiards room on the ground floor.
Ceremony
The large panoramic garden was the perfect setting for Amanda and Ben’s ceremony.
Guests, waiting for the newlyweds to make their entrance with their respective parents, were left speechless by the view of the Umbrian valley and Assisi that served as the backdrop to the celebration.
Portraits at Sunset
After an aperitif in the castle gardens, at golden hour, the newlyweds took an intimate photo session as they strolled and smiled at each other in the park.
Reception
An elegant setting curated by POP Florist made the reception beneath the castle walls at sunset a magical moment.
Party
The day concluded in the Limonaia room, where the newlyweds enjoyed their first dance, before partying late into the night with their friends and guests.
