A Journey Through the Wedding Day
As a wedding photographer, I find that Relais il Falconiere offers an incredible variety of locations without ever having to leave the property. Here’s how some of the venue’s most evocative spaces were used during Carolina and Satya’s wedding.
Getting Ready
The day began in the Winery Master Suite, a welcoming residence located on the upper floor of the winery, with a panoramic terrace overlooking the vineyards and the Cortona skyline.
Characteristic furnishings and fabrics created the typical atmosphere of a Tuscan villa, the perfect setting to capture every stage of the bride’s preparations with her friends.
Ceremony
The garden, with magnificent floral arrangements by Tuscany Flowers, provides the backdrop for the civil ceremony.
Guests sit under large trees in front of the villa’s entrance. The groom, accompanied by his mother, made his entrance and then anxiously awaited the bride. Carolina entered the garden accompanied by her father, to everyone’s emotion and amazement.
Sunset Portraits
The golden hour is ideal for spending among the steps of the village’s ancient church or in the lower garden for a small, intimate photo session between the newlyweds.
Reception
The Limonaia is one of the Relais’s most evocative spaces. At sunset, the setting is adorned with a blaze of warm-toned flowers, stunning guests.
The reception is overseen by Silvia Baracca, chef of the Relais’s one-Michelin-star restaurant and owner of the property.
